This inspirational artist has been at it for quite some time, and although she doesn't have a catchy handle, her creative influence is really what leaves a lasting impression. Stephanie Marrone is a former school teacher and happily married mother of two who loves to teach, help and inspire others! She now works at Oxon Hill Farm in Oxon Hill, MD where she loves it! Ranger Steph, as the kids who visit her affectionately call her, reads stories, sings songs and organizes arts and crafts among other things, to spark the imagination! Stephanie, who can be seen below reading a book to a group of tiny visitors, was featured in the "Kids & Family Notebook" section of the October 2014 Issue of "East of the River" Magazine as part of activities to get your children involved in. Stephanie painted an aquatic mural in her daughter's bedroom when she was 4. Her daughter is now 25 and still loves it when she comes home for a visit! Stephanie checked out a bunch of books from the library so although the fish came from all over the world, different oceans, cold and warm, the fish are all real fish. Stephanie painted this mural to teach, enchant and comfort her children. Notice the remarkable details in the reef beside the turtle! The two kids in the boat are her daughter Erin and her son Tighe. The scuba divers are her husband and her. She even included mermaids and Poseidon! Stephanie painted this cut-out for children to be able to capture a moment as a Park Ranger milking a cow. Her awesome artwork inspired this piece I drew using my Samsung Galaxy Note phone.
