I call this piece "Aftermath". I drew this using pencil and color pencil. This is a picture of a young black male coming to grips with a serious mistake made in the heat of the moment. In hindsight alternate ways of settling disputes and ways of dealing with conflict are clearer but can also be taught instead of learning them the hard way. I drew this in 2009 to shine light on the bad (but avoidable) choices people make. It was inspired by the mentality that prevailed among some of my peers in Washington, DC during my adolescent years.
